The information in this accommodation directory is based on the documents provided by the landlords. The publisher, Helgoland Tourismus-Service, does not guarantee the completeness and correctness of these documents, nor does it guarantee against typesetting and printing errors.
The services listed in detail are provided by the respective service provider on their own responsibility. In the event of any defects, the service provider is directly liable. In all other respects, the provisions of the German Civil Code (BGB) apply to the contractual relationship and also to the liability of the innkeeper for items brought in.
We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance for your own protection. The Tourist Information can help you find accommodation.
Please note: As a precaution, we would like to point out that the Helgoland Tourism Service/Tourist Information does not accept any liability for consequences arising from the non-operation of a ship or flight (due to weather or technical problems). In these cases, we refer you to the relevant terms and conditions of carriage of the shipping companies or airlines.
Regarding pets: The landlord does not always accept pets. It is therefore recommended to clarify this explicitly when concluding the contract. If no other agreement has been made between the tenant and the landlord, the following general conditions for the hotel and restaurant industry apply. Rights and duties arising from the guest accommodation contract: The guest accommodation contract is concluded as soon as the accommodation has been expressly ordered and confirmed or – if confirmation was not possible due to time constraints – has been provided. The conclusion of the guest accommodation contract obliges the partners to fulfill it, regardless of the duration of the contract. The landlord is obliged to pay compensation to the guest if the accommodation is not provided. The guest is obliged to pay the agreed or customary price minus the expenses saved by the host if the contractual services are not used: 90% of the holiday apartment or room price. 80% of the price for bed and breakfast, 70% of the price for bed and half board, 60% of the price for bed and full board. The landlord is obliged in good faith to allocate unused rooms, etc. to other guests if possible in order to avoid losses. Until the room is re-let, the guest must pay the above-calculated amounts for the duration of the contract. The place of jurisdiction is the place of business. Contracts can only be terminated by mutual agreement of both parties. Discounts agreed for longer stays shall no longer apply in the event of early departure by the guest. If the guest arriving already uses the accommodation before 9 a.m. or the guest departing still uses it after 10 a.m., the host may charge for an additional night. Otherwise, reference is made to the hotel rules. It is advantageous to have clear written agreements.
